I love to teach. I especially love to teach at risk youth and have had the blessing of serving in that capacity at a continuation high school in California for the past ten years. I have grown tremendously as an educator through the crucible of teaching kids who are in desperate need of love, patience and discipline. All of my professional endeavors, including business, lead back to the kids who sit in my classroom every day. I want the best of everything for them. It is that desire that has lead me around a curve in the road I never foresaw. But it is the curves and the changes of scenery that make the road interesting, even exciting. My prayer is that this new phase in my journey will lead to great opportunities to form a community of educators who will work together to achieve success in the development of socially conscious entrepreneurship in education; to teach students 21st century personal marketing skills and show them a new way to develop business while at the same time giving back to communities and improving the quality of life.

When I see images like this homeless, little girl, it drives home the desperate need for the creation and support of social ventures. The photo says all there is to say.
